The Skipshooter antenna has a tuning nail for easy SWR adjustment
- If the SWR is higher on Channel 40 than on Channel 1, then you have an electrically long antenna and need to make it shorter. Do this by pushing in the tuning nail until the lowest SWR is achieved.
- If the SWR is greater on Channel 1 than on Channel 40, then you have a electrically short antenna and need to make it longer. Do this by pulling out the tuning nail until the lowest SWR is achieved
